Pictured to the right is the stained glass window at the front of Messiah's sanctuary. The window was designed by Martin Banke. Its design was inspired by John 15:5, "I am the vine: you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing." We do not have righteousness, ultimate significance, or eternal life in ourselves; but we obtain all of these things through a living relationship with Jesus Christ. Finally, the window depicts Christ-as-vine in a cruciform position because Jesus won these gifts for us by his death.
